Design Documentation
- Resource- XP
- Our resource is XP, which you gain by eating different objects. Once gaining a certain amount of XP, you grow.
- Mechanic- Growing
- The player grows in size after gaining enough XP
- Implementation
- Objects can only be eaten once you’ve grown to a certain size. When you gain enough XP, you can eat new objects to then grow again. The player grows in size and changes appearance when they level up

- Our pattern focuses on how connecting resources to visual/gameplay changes helps motivate the player and engage them
- Analysis
- By tying our resource, XP, to both changes in the player and environment, we help motivate players to see what they can eat next. We also create anticipation by letting the player see each size of object before they can eat it. Each size of object also gives increasing amounts of XP, meaning that the player has to eat different amounts of objects for each level of growth.
